BEST FOR

Business owners who need to make a confident, right decision.

When faced with making a decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing.
— TEDDY ROOSEVELT

As busy business owners, we make hundreds of decisions every day—but there are a select, powerful few that can determine the course (and the ease!) of our success.

We owe it to those decisions to give them the time, focus, and resources they deserve—because the last thing we want is for those decisions to be made for us. (Don’t forget, NOT making a decision is still a decision—and usually a poor one).

What it Does

The Decision Accelerator helps you articulate the problem by removing emotions, opinions, hyperbole, and expectations from your vocabulary. You’ll not only define the actual problem—you’ll also uncover what’s actually (still) working, what truly needs to be fixed, and, most importantly, what to do next.

How to put the Decision Accelerator to work

First, collect as much relevant information as you can—you’ll need hands on all of the facts, feedback, financials, and more. Set aside time to go through this tool without distractions or interruptions, and make sure to complete each section in its proper order.

Feel free to work through this tool with your leadership team, business partner, business coach, and/or spouse. You will likely not have all the facts, all of the information, OR all of the answers—which means you can’t be expected to have all of the solutions!

Use the Decision Accelerator for decisions like:

  • Should I scale my business—or sell it?

  • Is a move out of state in my family’s best interest?

  • Should I hire an assistant?

  • Is it time to retire?

  • Should we move to a four-day workweek?

Why Cohort members love it

  • It gives real-life problems a reality check. If you find yourself defining problems by worst-case scenarios—instead of actual ones—this tool can help put things in perspective.

  • It gives important decisions the attention (and time!) they deserve. It’s easy to make a bad call when we’re rushed, stressed, or stuck with limited information. The Decision Accelerator tool not only outlines what we know—but also what we don’t know (or need to know) before making a choice.

  • If you’re struggling with a major decision, it’s a sign that more information is needed (or it needs to be organized). This tool is just the thing for that.
